Review: Lapostolle Pisco

Famous for its Clos Apalta and other wines, did you know that Lapostolle also makes pisco?

Lapostolle Pisco (en español) 

Lapostolle is one of the most famous and recognized Chilean wine producers from the family who gave us the famous Grand Marnier brandy liqueur. The grapes for this pisco are from the aromatic Muscat of Alexandria and Muscat Rosado sourced from the Elqui and Limari valleys in the north of Chile. They are from a variety of elevations and microclimates resulting in a complex finish. The base wine is then double distilled in copper stills imported from Cognac, France overseen by Patrick Raguenaud, Master Cognac Blender and Cellar Master from Grand Marnier.

Tasting Notes:

40% ABV. Crystal clear color and highly aromatic. Aromas consist of rose, white flowers, citrus fruits and a hint of blueberry. Balanced. Complex and inviting. Alcohol lifts and heightens the floral aspect on the palate with a soft, clean and lasting finish. 93 Points CS.

Lapostolle Pisco

Lapostolle es uno de los productores de vino Chileno más famoso y reconocido, quien además pertenece a la familia que nos dio el famoso licor de brandy Grand Marnier. Las aromáticas uvas de este pisco son de Muscat de Alexandria y Muscat Rosado cosechadas en los valles de Elqui y Limari en el norte de Chile. Las viñas están situadas en una variedad de elevaciones y microclimas que dan como resultado un final complejo. La base de vino pasa por un proceso de doble destilado en destiladores de cobres importados de Coñac, Francia y el proceso es supervisado por Patrick Raguenaud, Master Cognac Blender y Cellar Master de Grand Marnier.

Notas de Degustación:

40% ABV. Color claro como cristal y sumamente aromático. Los aromas contienen rosa, flores blancas, frutas cítricas y un toque de arándano. Balanceado. Complejo y tentador. En el paladar, el alcohol se siente aumentado y se intensifica el aspecto floral con un final suave, limpio y duradero. 93 Puntos CS.
